Set design / Experience design / Installations
We first started working together as ABBY+ALICE in 2016 whilst studying Performance Design at Central Saint Martins. We won a student bid to design an installation for the Royal Academy’s Late event and have worked collaboratively ever since.
We make environments that people can be in, that tell stories and rely on the audience being active and having agency. Our own work centres narrative discovery in interactive sets: inspired by video game style storytelling and developed through an iterative design process.
We make work because we love learning collaboratively through interactive environments and letting that grow in unexpected directions when it’s introduced to audiences. More recently, we’ve been making games that break down complex systems into playable theatre.
